초단편 소설 : 어쩌다 여름
2022년의 여름의 어느 날, 난 내가 해야할 일들을 있는 힘껏 미뤄둔 채로 한낮의 더위와 싸우고 있었다.
당시 하늘에서는 우주선들이 평화롭게 둥실둥실 떠다니고 있었다.
그리고 2022년의 1년 전, 지구의 인류들이 멸망하기 직전에 그들이 찾아왔었다.
이유는 이랬다.
"여름이니까."
...어처구니없겠지만 사실이다. 어쨌든 그들은 인류를 환경오염의 위기에서 구해주었다. 그리고 딱히 인류에게 복종을 요구하는 것도 없었다. 희한한 녀석들 같으니라고.
그저 환경오염물질을 마구마구 배출해내는 기업들을 찾아내
엄청난 벌금을 물리고 세상과 인류를 구원해주고 있었다.
얼마 전, 미국의 대통령이 다시 한번 외계인들에게 우리 인류를 도와주는 이유를 물었는데 그들은 이렇게 답했다.
"여름이었다."
...아니 그러니까 여름이랑 댁들이 우리를 구해주는 이유가 뭔 상관관계가 있는뎁쇼?!!!!!
그 날, 나는 아이스크림을 먹으며 멍하니 계속해서 하늘을 바라본 것으로 기억한다.
하늘의 우주선들에서 노래가 흘러나왔었다.
아주 오래전 대한민국에서 유행했던 노래였다.
{여름에는 뭐든 화가 쉽게 나는 법이죠~ 그러니 우리 좀 더 서로에게 상냥해져 볼까요? 그럼 분명 좀 더 행복한 미래가 찾아올 거야~}
아, 나는 문득 생각했다.
여름이구나.
아이스크림을 시원하게 먹으며 나는 눈을 감았다.
그렇게 인류는 구원받았고 지금의 나는 100살의 할머니가 되어
여전히 아름다운 지구 위에서 즐겁게 살아가고 있다.
고마웠어요. 이름도 알려주지 않고 떠난 외계인 씨들.
정말 여름이네요.
그래 정말로.
여름이었다.

It is a clear, transparent hand fan that greatly reduces your summertime body temperature.
You may put its rounded hole on your finger to fan yourself, and it is lightweight and portable.

Notice
- Before using, please remove the protective film from the side that isn't printed.
- Because we can only produce the fan using one-sided printing, it is not possible to print different graphics respectivly on each side of the fan.
- Watch out for damage from bending due to force or a strong collision.
- If ethanol, acetone, or hand sanitizer (even gel type) directly contacts the fan, the printed area may become smeared or peel off.
- Keep it out of reach of fire.
- Minor scratches may appear during production and shipping.
- When used, external shocks may cause prints to fall off.
- The product's color may appear distorted depending on the lighting circumstances at the shooting location.
Precautions for Purchase
- A purchase order made by a minor may be cancelled by the same minor or his/her guardian if his/her guardian has not consented to such purchase.
