묘역 전체의 배치와 설계를 맡은 유홍준 전 문화재청장의 설명을 빌면, 박석(薄石, 博石)이란 얇은 돌 또는 넓적한 돌이라는 뜻으로, 전통 건축물에 쓰는 바닥 포장돌이다. 두께 10cm, 가로 세로 약 20cm로 경복궁 근정전과 종료 앞뜰에서 볼 수 있듯 대단히 품위 있고 기능적이다. 작은 박석을 자연스럽게 마치 조각보처럼 이어 붙이면 아름다운 무늬가 된다.
'아주작은비석건립위원회'는 대통령 묘역 전체에 작은 박석들을 바닥 돌로 설치하면서 그 박석에 추모 기간에 온 국민이 보여주었던 존경과 애도, 사모와 사랑의 글을 새겨 넣었다. 국민참여박석 하나하나에 새겨진 국민들의 메시지가 바로 비문 역할을 하고 있는 것이다. 국민참여박석과 자연박석이 어우러진 묘역은 작은 집들과 골목길이 이어진 마을, 이른바 '사람사는세상'을 상징한다. 특히 봉화산 사자바위에서 내려다볼 때 아주 선명한 모양을 볼 수 있다.<참여박석 안내>수량 1만 5,000개 (1만 8,000명 신청)

Product Basic Info
