충무공 이순신 장군이 직접 작성한 『난중일기』에는 여러 형태의 수결(手決)을 반복해서 써본 흔적이 남아 있다.
수결이란 오늘날의 서명과 비슷한 것으로,
장군은 자신의 성씨인 '이(李)'와 '일심(一心)' 등의 글자를 활용해 다양한 형태를 시도한 것으로 해석된다.
전쟁의 상황과 군사 업무를 기록한 『난중일기』에 이러한 흔적이 남아 있다는 점은 흥미롭다.
